The world’s appetite for aquatic foods is great and growing. Facilitated by the rise of fish farming, consumption has doubled in the past 50 years. In 2018, 156m tonnes of fish, crustaceans, molluscs, and algae (mostly seaweed) landed on consumers’ plates.
