The 35+ year resistance by a group of fisherman, farmers and activists to prevent the construction of a nuclear power plant that would threaten Japan’s Inland Sea.
There has been consistent, galvanized resistance to a proposed nuclear power plant in Kaminoseki, Japan. Patagonia grantee and activist Midori Takashima, founder of the Kaminoseki Nature Conservation Association–along with fishermen and farmers who have been actively protesting for 35 years–continues to fight against the proposed construction.
